Man shot, killed at Pratt and Ashland [updated]
Update: The victim, James Brown, of the 3200 block of North Central Park Avenue, has succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced dead upon arrival to the hospital.
A man was shot at the intersection of Pratt and Ashland Thursday afternoon. Police have cordoned off the area and are rerouting buses, according to police chatter.
News blog Now in Rogers Park, which has been following the incident, reported that police said the man was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston in critical condition with a gunshot wound to his upper body.
Police are looking for the perpetrators who fled in a silver four-door Grand Prix with tinted windows and Indiana plates.
